OUR STORY

At Satay Ria Malaysian Chinese Restaurant, we bring the heart and soul of Malaysian cuisine right to Brisbane. Founded in September 2011, we are proud to be known as the King of Chilli Crab in Brisbane, offering a true culinary experience that's rich in flavour, tradition, and passion.

Step into our warm, welcoming space — a traditional setting of dark wooden tables and vibrant red hues — and you'll feel transported straight to Malaysia. As our name suggests, we’re specialists in satay. Our signature satay skewers are truly to-die-for and crafted with quality at the heart of everything we do.

Our mission is simple: to create memorable dining experiences by preparing every dish with love, care, and authenticity. You no longer need to travel 6,500 km to Malaysia for that tantalizing taste — it’s all right here in Cannon Hill, Brisbane, with the added bonus of plenty of free parking.

Beyond our extensive menu, we proudly offer a range of beloved Malaysian specialties such as Chilli Mud Crab, Butter Oat King Prawns (a must-try!), Fish Head Curry, Assam Steamed Fish, Ikan Bakar, Kangkung Belacan, and Sambal Sotong — just to name a few.
